Cosima's Diaries

Diary Entry of April 21, 1870

Overview

Duefflipp reports that the king disliked Wagner’s last letter and still wants Heinrich Forges chosen for Die Walkuere, a proposal Wagner and Cosima reject outright. Wagner then completes Hagen’s Watch, restoring creative momentum after the bureaucratic blow. Garden time, a long walk, and a drive in the green outfit give the children and household a lighter close.
