Cosima's Diaries

Diary Entry of April 10, 1870

Overview

Palm Sunday and Loldi’s birthday are softened by spring rain, which nourishes the season but prevents the planned picnic. Wagner is unwell and limited to correcting biographical proofs, while Cosima devotes herself to the children and embroidery. Richter’s reports from Munich, the ongoing Walkuere preparations, and Nietzsche’s academic promotion keep professional affairs active around an otherwise domestic day.
