Cosima's Diaries

Diary Entry of February 6, 1870

Overview

Cosima writes to Nietzsche while Wagner works and the children play, then turns the afternoon into a small theater for them. The evening belongs to Mozart’s G minor Symphony, whose hidden abundance Wagner unfolds for her through analysis and performance. Their musical reflections pass naturally into Bach, Mozart, and then another Aristophanes comedy.
