Saturday, October 12:
R. had a good night, he dreamed in the early morning that he urged Georg to awake Herr Kellermann, who did not want to get up, “and all the time it was myself,” he says with a laugh, “who should have been woken up.” He also dreamed that I went away by myself.
Lusch's birthday. R. says he is worried about her, but I repeat to him that in his home everyone flourishes and is blessed, and I have nothing but confidence in him. Nice celebrations; R. plays something from the Holländer in honor of Lulu, she is called Senta, and at lunch he is bubbling over with high spirits; we hardly stop laughing.
He then goes out, quite a long way, as far as Konradsreuth. Somewhat tired, he lies down on his couch in the salon and reads the book on religious sects; the personality of Zinzendorf interests him very much. He recognizes in the colony of Brethren his own Knights of the Grail, and in the evening he reads aloud various passages connected with it.
