Diary Entry of March 4, 1878
Richard works cheerfully while already longing to be past the troublesome duet and into the third act. Much of the day is given over to their guest, but the evening returns to Parsifal and stops just before the arrival of the pure fool.
Monday, March 4:
R. well, working cheerfully, although he wishes the “duet” were already behind him, he is looking forward to the third act. The greater part of the day devoted to our charming friend.
