Diary Entry of January 23, 1878

Content

Wednesday, January 23:

R. says, “We are living like gods,” although he again had a disturbed night.

In the evening he says to me, “You will laugh!,” and he shows me the part of Titurel, whom he has brought in again after all.

In the morning we discussed the scenery for the Temple of the Grail, and I suggest a basilica, two naves leading through pillars to doors hidden behind them.

In the evening R. plays and sings to us the most glorious scenes ever to have been written and set to music!
