Overview

A good night and cheerful mood allow Cosima and Richard to discuss the children's future, including setting aside her interests for the older children and someday building a house for Siegfried where the girls can also find refuge. She arranges the study, walks with Richard, and gives lessons. Nietzsche announces another visit.

Monday, November 8:

A good night, cheerful spirits. Discussed with R. the children’s future, the need to put all my interests aside for the elder children. Hopes of building a house for Siegfried, stipulating, however, that the girls should always find a refuge in it.

Afterward arranged the study. After lunch went out with R., then lessons with the children.

Prof. Nietzsche announces a visit.
