Diary Entry of July 31, 1877
A difficult conversation leaves her sorrowful because Loldchen’s departure must be delayed for another six weeks. She spends the day walking with her, then ends the evening at the castle listening to music together, while a telegram from R. arrives.
Tuesday, July 31:
A talk with Frau Herz, a great blow for my Loldchen; she must stay another 6 weeks. Sorrowful day with her. We go for a walk; in the evening to the castle and listen together to the Pilgrims’ Chorus and the Evening Star.
