Sunday, May 27:
Sitting for the painter Herkomer. Then lunch at the Schlesingers’ and a visit to the Leweses’, where it was decided that I should sit for the painter Burne-Jones.
At home in the evening.
Diary Entry of May 27, 1877
The day was dominated by portrait sittings, first with Herkomer and then with plans made to sit for Burne-Jones as well. Between visits and luncheon with friends, the evening remained quiet at home.
