Cosima's Diaries

Diary Entry of December 22, 1876

Overview

The day was filled with tidying, shifting things about, and a little writing. R. was absorbed in Sismondi and had fully taken up his theory of civilization, while Herr Betz sent a strange letter saying he could not and would not play Wotan again. In the evening Daniella arrived with Mrs. Cooper; she looked well and had grown, despite having had measles.
