Wet day; visit to the Palazzo Riccardi and the Accademia di Belle Arti with Baron Liphart; in the afternoon we visited with R. the lovely churches of San Spirito, Santa Maria del Carmine, and Santa Maria Novella.

Overview
Rain set the tone for the day, but it did not stop visits to the Palazzo Riccardi and the Accademia di Belle Arti with Baron Liphart. Later, R. accompanied them to San Spirito, Santa Maria del Carmine, and Santa Maria Novella, turning the wet afternoon into a full circuit of churches.
