The entire day is consumed by rehearsal work, while the diarist struggles with costume matters that feel frustratingly rushed and unfinished. After seeing Carmen with R., the evening at the artists' reception leaves only an impression of vulgarity and bad taste.
Saturday, November 6:
Rehearsals all the time; I myself occupied with the costumes, unrewarding insofar as there is not enough time to produce anything really beautiful.
In the evening saw Carmen with R., after which I went to the artists’ reception. Much tastelessness.
