Departure; friendly farewells from friends at the station. We are told a touching thing: a cantor, Fischer, from Zittau, inquired some time ago whether he might be given a free seat if he canvassed on behalf of our undertaking. He said he was very poor, but wished to try to do something for the cause. Now he has sent 6,000 marks!

In Munich at 8 in the evening; reunion with Lenbach, Unger, and Prof. Hey. Staying at the Marienbad.
