Cosima's Diaries

Diary Entry of October 28, 1875

Overview

R. speaks with a gratefulness that sounds almost absolute, saying he has his wife and needs no more from life, yet that contentment is shadowed by growing friction with Messrs. Voltz and Batz. The pleasures of Vienna, instead of delighting them, feel oppressive and dreamlike.
