Overview

After a good night, they visit the springs and Hirschsprung, then continue by coach to lunch in the Salle Saxe, though Karlsbad seems crowded and already tiring. By evening they are in Teplitz, lodged at the König von Preussen, and immediately call for Bilin water and Czernosek.

Tuesday, September 14:

A good night. First to the springs, then on the Hirschsprung, drive in a coach, noon meal in the Salle Saxe. Karlsbad soon exhausted, though very nice, many Israelites.

Departure at 3, in Teplitz at 7 in the evening, the Prince de Ligne out of business. Put up at the König von Preußen, where 30 years ago R. and Apel had enjoyed themselves; asked immediately for Bilin water and Czernosek.
