Sedan celebrations are dampened by heavy rain, though the children brighten the annex by illuminating their room and entertaining everyone with their delight. Later, a walk to the theater leads to discussion of Parzival and the Holy Grail, which R. interprets as having developed outside the church as a peaceful release from it.
Thursday, September 2:
Sedan celebrations, very wet! The children illuminate their room in the annex and constantly delight us with their merriment.
Walk with R. to the theater; in the evening San-Marte on Parzival; R. comes to the conclusion that the Holy Grail evolved entirely outside the church as a peaceful disengagement from it.
