The morning is taken up with errands for Lusch’s birthday, while Richard works and we wait for the management committee’s conference with Hoffmann. The day never really settles, and domestic annoyances pile up around the planned evening reading.

Many errands in the morning in connection with Lusch’s birthday. R. works.
A conference between the management committee and Herr Hoffmann is supposed to take place in the afternoon, then in the evening Anabasis. Many domestic unpleasantnesses.
