Sunday, May 10:
At midday the Gross family, then much trouble with the painter Maurer. I catch cold and am again beset by hoarseness, which robs me entirely of my voice. R. is very sad about it, and I am also concerned, insofar as it makes me realize that I am no longer as sure of my health as I used to be. R. reads me something from Freytag, over which I fall asleep.
