Sunday, April 25:
Letter from Richter full of Munich news, as always unpleasant. The children are healthy, R.’s bite is healing, though he walks with difficulty. I feel worn out, having embroidered long into the night.
With the children up to lunchtime; read and explained a Grimm legend to Lulu. Rested after lunch, then poured out my soul to R.
In the afternoon a letter from Nuitter announcing the agreement of the string quartet, much to my delight. R. surprised to see me in correspondence with his friend. Some bantering, some serious talk.
Then magic lantern, at last something from the Seven Years’ War.
